Louis Guillot

Louis Guillot is an award-winning wildlife photographer, zoologist and conservation storyteller. Born and raised in urban London, he has always been fascinated by wildlife, whether amid the city streets or deep in the rainforests of the Amazon. His work explores a wide range of subjects, from the smallest insects to large mammals, and reflects his boundless curiosity and passion for the natural world.

Louis has lived and worked in the Peruvian Amazon rainforest, where he spent eight months documenting wildlife and volunteering with conservation organisations. His photography has been recognised in international competitions, including Nature Photographer of the Year and MontPhoto, and he was recently sponsored by Nikon for his rainforest expedition.

He also writes and contributes to publications such as BBC Wildlife Magazine, sharing stories that highlight wildlife, human-wildlife interactions and grassroots conservation efforts.

In 2025 Louis was named an Emerging League Fellow by the International League of Conservation Photographers (iLCP), a programme supporting early-career photographers who use visual storytelling to promote conservation.

Alongside his photography, Louis works as a children’s forest educator, helping young people connect with the natural world. He believes that inspiring future generations is key to effective conservation.

Louis’s mission is to continue capturing the beauty and fragility of wildlife while inspiring people of all ages and backgrounds to connect with nature through powerful imagery and storytelling.
